Olga Ginez, PLMC™ Certified Real Estate Agent
Who says it’s too late to start a new career? With a background in Accounting and several decades working in the food and restaurant industry, construction business, gas and oil, race car building, insurance, wealth management, child- care and even buttons, I come with a wealth of business experience and skills. In my early career I lived and worked in South Africa and have vacationed internationally. I’ve travelled in the United States extensively in one of the several iterations of Recreational Vehicles I’ve owned throughout the years. I’ve met many people from different countries, cultures, ethnicities, nationalities, and even eccentricities. Born in Los Angeles, California and raised by my grandparents, the city was all I knew. Mom later moved us to the suburbs in the San Gabriel Valley, where as a teen in High School, going to Huntington Beach was the thing to do. After graduating high school, I moved to Orange County where I was introduced to the outdoors. I’ve backpacked many trails on the Eastern Sierras, hiked wherever I’ve visited or lived. I’ve done marathons and ultra-marathons on the trails throughout California. I’ve toured the San Juan Islands by bicycle, have done several multi-day bicycle events. I’ve kayaked on the rivers in Oregon, Washington. Ocean kayaked in Gwaii Hanna, in the Queen Charlotte Islands off the coast of British Columbia where I was in awe of the wildlife and humpback whales. I’ve come up close and personal to the grey whales in Mexico and spent an entire summer with the humpback whales in Telegraph Cove, Vancouver Island, British Columbia. I trained in Martial Arts in Portland, Oregon with my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. We are all black belts in Tae Kwon Do. My purpose for training in the Martial Arts was to spend time with my family and in the interim I learned self-defense and discipline, but most importantly the wisdom of living my life by five tenets of Tae Kwon Do: Courtesy, Integrity, Self- Control, Perseverance and Indomitable Spirit. I graduated from Cal-State Fullerton in 1984 with degrees in Criminal Justice and Business Administration. Throughout my first career I earned a variety of designations in Insurance and Securities and have taken a multitude of classes which enhanced my knowledge of the business. After having been retired and fully rested for nine years I embarked on my second career in real estate in 2016. As a “newbie” to the business I was at first intimidated, but as I meet and assist my clients with their real estate needs whether it is buying or selling their homes, finding rental properties, or answering a “dumb” question (there are never any dumb questions), all of my skills, experience, knowledge, wisdom of having lived a full life are at my fingertips. I found my stride—being of service. It’s true, “If you do something you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.” It’s never too late!
