A native of Alaska, Cheryl has lived in Atlanta for most of her adult life. Her business experience includes sports marketing for a National Basketball Association franchise and management of an international sports agency. Cheryl serves on the Board of Directors of the Colored Rocks Foundation, a nonprofit organization which awards the Colored Rocks Prize to Georgia’s outstanding male students from diverse ethnic backgrounds. As the single parent of a child enrolled in the Atlanta Public School System, Cheryl continues to remain active in sports with her son’s participation in Candler-Murphy football, along with YMCA and recreational basketball, baseball and gymnastics.
